Jimmie Jack first fished Alaska at 13, on a 1982 family road trip spent tent-camping out of a van and fishing from a 13-foot aluminum boat — he stretched a one-week stay on the Kenai River into three. He started guiding the Kenai with a single boat in 1995 and built the operation up from a guide service.
Today he and his team operate two lodges in Kenai — the "Original" Alaska Fishing Lodge and the Alaska SeaScape Lodge — plus single-day charters, running 14 river boats and 4 saltwater boats across the Kenai Peninsula. Guests can fish ten different charters: Kasilof and Kenai kings, sockeye and silvers, rainbow trout, halibut, a Homer halibut combo, a Seward combo with lingcod and rockfish, and fly-in trips.
