About Kodiak Safaris

Kodiak Safaris is a family-owned lodge in Larsen Bay run by its Kodiak-raised owner, who goes by Krimson. The whole family are lifelong Kodiak Island residents — her father runs a commercial fishing vessel and her brother operates two more — and the site says the operation has been going for over 20 years with a century of experience combined. Krimson shot her first Sitka blacktail at age six and holds multiple Kodiak Big Buck contest wins plus record-book archery deer.

Trips are five-day, five-night all-inclusive packages mixing hunting, fishing and crabbing: unguided blacktail deer hunts plus caribou, sea ducks and fox, and fishing for halibut, salmon and rockfish on waters close to the lodge — no long boat rides.

Background as described by the operator on their own website.
