About River King Outfitters

River King Outfitters is owned and guided by Jon Boyd, a licensed professional guide who has fished the Nushagak River for more than nineteen years. His camp sits on 120 acres of private land on the Nushagak, twelve miles upstream from Portage Creek, in the heart of what the operation bills as the largest king salmon run in Alaska.

The format is all-inclusive but semi-guided: after an orientation, groups of up to twenty get their own boats and fish on their own schedule. Private cabins sleep two to six, and the camp adds hot showers, a steam sauna, a bank-fishing area, a fire pit, and a social lounge. The whole approach is built for DIY anglers who want remote, uncrowded king water without a guide in the boat all day.

Background as described by the operator on their own website.
