South Kodiak Adventures

South Kodiak Adventures is owned by Gary Rozelle Sr., a lifelong Kodiak Island resident raised in the village of Akhiok on the island's south end, where the operation is still based. Rozelle holds a Coast Guard 100-ton license, has more than 35 years of fishing experience around the island, and runs the business with family and local Alaskan staff.

The six-guest lodge fishes over 100 miles of protected water, 15 salmon rivers, and two large lakes from a 33-foot Peregrine Marine aluminum boat, and offers unguided Sitka blacktail and duck hunts plus Kodiak brown bear viewing — with days customized to each group rather than fixed itineraries.
