Parks family water taxi and kayak outfit in Homer pairing guided Kachemak Bay paddles with hiker drop-offs, led by longtime fisherman Alan Parks.

Kachemak Bay Adventures is the Parks family's locally owned Homer operation, joining Alan's Water Taxi with the kayak-touring roots of St. Augustine's Kayak & Tours. Alan Parks has commercial-fished Kachemak Bay since 1976; Ella Parks is a licensed captain who has guided and run boats most of her life; and Hoxie Parks, born and raised in Homer, runs the Billyhawk. The guide roster also includes geologist and author Taz Tally and EMT-firefighter Vianney Chauvet.
Trips range from guided paddles past the Gull Island seabird rookery to water-taxi drop-offs for glacier-lake hikes, in half-day, full-day, and custom formats, plus kayak and gear rentals. The family puts real weight on marine conservation and education, volunteering and contributing income to conservation efforts.
