About Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge (ATA)

Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge sits on a private 160-acre parcel with its own airstrip on the upper braids of the Alagnak River in Bristol Bay, operating since 1988 and reachable only by plane. Wayne McGee and his son Jacob bought the lodge in November 2015, after Jacob worked the 2015 season for the original owners; Wayne's wife Sue and younger children help run it, following the family's years living and fishing in the Congo River Basin and Mali.

The lodge runs fly fishing for salmon and trout plus bear viewing, fly-outs, raft trips, and guided tours, trading on solitude — no crowds and no shoulder-to-shoulder fishing on its stretch of river.
