About The Lodge at 58 North

The Lodge at 58 North was founded in 2022 by Kate and Justin Crump, both working Alaska fishing guides. Kate has guided Bristol Bay since 2008 and serves on the board of Pacific Rivers and as a Wild Salmon Center ambassador; Justin came up through Bristol Bay's commercial fishing industry and has guided there since 2009, along with helping produce fly fishing films.

The lodge sits on the Naknek River in King Salmon, fishing for trophy rainbow trout and all five Pacific salmon species, with floatplane fly-outs across Katmai National Park plus bear viewing, Brooks Falls visits, and eco-tours. Cabin accommodations, an on-site greenhouse, and partnerships with local farmers and fishers round out an approach that balances wilderness with refined comfort.
