Port Lions, Alaska

Port Lions sits on the north shore of Kodiak Island in Settler Cove. The community was relocated there after the 1964 earthquake. The surrounding waters produce excellent halibut and salmon, while the island's terrain supports Kodiak brown bear hunting (the largest bears in the world) and Sitka blacktail deer. Access by ferry from Kodiak or floatplane.
